▪ MHI Safety Case / CIMAH Report
A facility where quantities of dangerous materials present or likely to be present are in excess of the specified threshold quantities is classified as a major hazard facility. Operator of the major hazard facility is required to submit a Safety Report* that states clearly type and quantities of material stored, handled and used in the processes of the facility, demonstrates adequacy of risk assessment, risk control and Safety Management System that have been implemented at the facility. The purpose of the report is to prevent, control and mitigate the effects of accidents involving dangerous materials that could cause serious harm to people and/or the environment.
*In certain countries, this is known as the CIMAH (Control of Industrial Major Accident Hazards) Report.
